Thank you for having Teresa on your show! She is such an inspiration to me and to the free thought community! Do you know what her speaking schedule is? I’d love to go and see her.

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t listen to anymore of the show after twenty minutes. I was just spacing out. It was very boring and normally the show isn’t at all. Just look at how many comments you normally get per episode and then look at how many this one received.

Comments come when there is controversy. It’s not an accurate picture of how many people liked this non-controversial episode, especially when we’ve been getting tons of praise in email and facebook. Plus, not that many people have listened yet.

But if you don’t like the interview format, you’re not going to like the next show either.

I liked it, it’s healthy to just hear a good, positive story without controversy sometimes. Good job.

I found the interview was awesome. First time here - followed link from Facebook/twitter - Jerry Dewitt’s link. Teresa is so brave for coming out.

I would like to offer two suggestions if I may.

One, would it be possible to put Godless Bitches or GB or something in the title of the show with the episode number? I only ask because I’m looking at the list of unlistened podcasts on my ipod and it took me a while to realize which one Episode 2.9 belonged to. Most of the others have the title and episode info both.

Also, in the past couple episodes there have been a lot of keyboard noises and that kind of thing in the background and it’s insanely annoying having that kind of thing piped right into your ears. If you could be a bit more aggressive with the mute button, I’d appreciate it greatly.

This was a good episode. I enjoyed it. I like the fact that even clergy question, that everyone is in different level of belief.

It will be very interesting for historians centuries from now combing through all the media we generate these days for the opinions and happening of today, including about feminism and atheism.

Tracie makes such good points, there’s often no reason to argue with her. Always fun when that happens.

This was an interesting tale. The Atheist Experience-o-sphere get loads of coming out stories, but this was one of the most well expressed. It’s also important for the position of the person in question. From all the way over here in AUs, I can’t really fathom someone leaving the faith and it making the news within hours. That’s crazy. The scale of news media is very different of course, but I still think all else being equal it might make a human interest story on some corner of the national broadcaster some months later. Or longer. What people losing faith can face over there is extraordinary.

A point that I hope people could be more aware of is that atheism and ministry are not mutually exclusive. I am a Unitarian Universalist minister and an atheist. We have many atheists, agnostics, Pagans, Buddhists, Christians, you name it in our congregations. I preach the wisdom of all world philosophies, as well as critical and creative thinking. I hope the participants in the Clergy Project realize that losing their Christian faith does not preclude them from practicing ministry.

Just listened to the NPR interview with Teresa. I’m sure she felt a huge weight lifted now that she no longer has to live a lie. We are all here to support her as she continues her free thought journey.
